My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maisy is a gregarious, super-affectionate puppy between 1-2 years old. In age she may not sound like a puppy but in energy and temperament she is. She is an unknowable terrier mix but seems to have something like Havanese or Shi Tzu in her, with that adorable underbite. Maisy loves to play and to cuddle. We don’t know her background but it seems she would be great with kids old enough to treat her gently. She is just 10 pounds though she thinks she’s tough  When not playing with you or a toy, she will also happily munch on a chew bone so she’s not terribly demanding. We mostly rescue Papillons and Pap mixes but she is as far from that as they come. We just couldn’t walk by her in the shelter cage when she was jumping and wagging at the gate. She was found stray on the street and, as young as she is, had recently had a litter. She is now spayed, up to date on shots and declared healthy by our vet.
Maisy is cuter than her pictures (won’t stand still for them) but we have to say that her middle name is “please train me”. She needs an experienced dog owner who has raised a dog from puppyhood, as she has some puppy bad habits. We wouldn’t say this if she wasn’t one of the most adorable, unique and loving rescue we’ve had, but if you are able to devote yourself to training her, she will develop into a wonderful companion and conversation-piece. You just have to trust us 
Maisy needs to live in a home with a securely fenced yard where she can run (only under your supervision due to coyote threat). And she should be walked regularly more than once a day.
There is almost never a perfect dog, whether rescued or purchased for thousands. Maisy will probably always be mischievous but, once trained, her mischief-making ways will be entertaining, endearing and irresistible and you will be so glad to have taken the time to make this truly amazing (no pun intended) pooch your soulmate.
