Deanna's Story...

Diary Entry #1 - Whew, that was close! First I get hit by a car, then no one comes to look for me. I was so bummed. But wait, who is this? A neat lady came to my rescue and I can tell these rescue people love me LOTS. I love them too! I'm trying to stay quiet while my hip heals - but its so hard! Things to do, people to kiss, treats to eat! I’ll be ready for adoption in no time, wait and see! I am an English Cocker Spaniel and about 3 years old and will be spayed before I am adopted.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Deanna, a San Diego Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
