Oh hey there, I’m Gloria. What is your name? What are you up to today? I’m just hanging out, playing with the toys and other playful dogs in my foster home. It really is fun here with my friends at NBS, but I’d sure like to find a home of my own! I’m a 1 year old yorkie-poodle mix, that is shy at first – but super duper playful once I warm up.
Well, I suppose I should be more obvious with my words – if you’ve got a gentle voice, affectionate belly scratches and a chewy treat? Pfft, I’ll be your best friend. Although I’ve grown up using potty pads, I’m learning to go potty in the great outdoors. I’ve even been doing pretty stellar on a leash, so I won’t require a fenced in yard. However, I do require a home where my family has a plan to make sure I can go outside every 5 or so hours during the day. (I’m tiny and cute, but a girl’s gotta go when a girl’s gotta go, right?) Oh – and even though I love to play with other goofball dogs like myself – I am super-duper scared of large dogs, and kids that run around. It is just too much for me to handle, so I do need a home that has kids 10-12years+. It may seem like a lot to ask, but my friends at NBS and I agree that would be wonderful for me to grow up in a calm, but still playful environment. Could that be with you?

P.S. Every dog in NBS has different needs, and are evaluated if they need any special accommodations. Requirements for my home, specifically are:
- Kids must be 10-12yrs +
- 100% fenced yard.
- Home must be able to return every 5 hours to let me out to potty
My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes a DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, de-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine (age appropriate), heartworm test (age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food.

1.) Visit www.nbsar.org to fill out an online adoption application and we will start processing your application right away! We do require that persons interested in meeting me apply online and be approved as an adopter first so please visit our website and submit your application today!
2.) Call your veterinarian and give them permission to release information about your current and past pets veterinary history.
3.) Call your references and let them know to expect a phone call from an unknown phone number as they will be speaking with a member of our team as a personal references.
Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on it's vaccinations and heartworm preventative as well as spayed/neutered unless there is a documented medical reason on file with your veterinarian. Dogs must be current on Distemper DHPP combo vaccine and Rabies vaccine, cats must be current on Distemper and Rabies at the time of application. This also applies to any pets in your home within the past five years.
