Nickolas's Story...
Nickolas is a 4 year old male American Staffordshire terrier weighing 55 pounds

Stunning! That’s what everyone said about Nickolas as we were out for our walk. His physique is perfect, slender and handsome, his gaze is direct, his tail wags, and his grey coat is a mesh of lots of different grays — all combining into one handsome hunk! . He loves his picture taken and looks perfectly into the camera (and the treat in my hand), and takes it gently, making cute little chomping sounds as he eats. Nickolas loves treats, and although he mistakes my command of ‘sit’ for ‘stand and lean on me’, he’ll learn everything he needs to know with positive treat reinforcement.

He’s a smart boy and will learn quickly. Off leash he snuggles on my lap, and as I stroke his face and neck his eyes start to close with the relaxation and pleasure of it all. He knows how to savor the moment, and it’s adorable. In group with other dogs, Nickolas briefly plays, responds well to correction, bows and gets bouncy from time to time. Having done well in his behavior assessment .

Housetrained

He is neutered with all updated shots

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nickolas, a Long Beach American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
