Zeke's Story...
Zeke is a big, loving boy who has a little, chirpy meow. He likes to talk to you and let you know he wants some more attention and tummy rubs. Zeke loves to be right by his person, he is most comfortable when he’s laying pushed up against you. Zeke will even snuggle right up next to you on the bed, nestled in the crook of your arm. He’s a big teddy bear and likes to cuddle in your arms just like one too. He purrs nonstop and kneads his paws. He’s always kneading, even when he’s standing up, he’ll switch paws as if he’s walking in place so that he can keep kneading.

Zeke was found as a stray in the Sterling area and was taken in by a 4Paws volunteer to help him find a new home. Zeke thinks that he is the best and most special pet in the world, and you don’t need any other pets with him around. He is a wonderful and very sweet cat who wants a forever home of his own. He promises to give you all of the love and head butts you could ever want. Zeke is on a prescription diet to prevent the recurrence of urinary crystals.

Zeke was born around November 2011. He has been neutered, tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia, is up to date on all his shots, and has been micro chipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zeke, a Merrifield Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Merrifield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Merrifield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Merrifield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Merrifield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Merrifield paves the way for another one to be saved.
