Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bentley was found emaciated & near death in a dumpster behind a liquor store and was brought to a local public shelter. He was severely dehydrated, flea infested, suffering from ear mites, dirty and horribly matted. Only 9 mos. old, he weighed just 7 lbs when he should weigh 9-10 lbs. Since he was microchipped, the shelter was able to track down his owners who said he'd been missing for over a month but didn't care enough to come and claim him. He has now been cleaned up, his medium length fur is looking great, he's gained weight and ready for a "forever" home... this time one that will cherish him forever! Despite the apparently hellish existence he has had, Bentley is always purring, head butting, and welcoming to all visitors. Bentley loves the company of other cats (seeking a home where there is a young feline companion) and is fine with dogs, too. He is a gentle sweetheart who craves attention and deserves an extra dose of love! Updated 2/24/16
