Hi Everyone! My adoption fee has been reduced to $100! My awesome caretakers at the shelter say I have been here way too long. They are hoping this will help me find my furever family. Please fill out an application to adopt me today!

Sammie is approximately 3 – she came in to FUR KIDS about a year ago and because no foster was available, has been living in a kennel run ever since. She was cared for and loved during this time, but got a little kennel crazy. Sammie is in board train/foster & is quickly learning good manners.
Sammie is alert, house trained, well behaved in the house, walks nicely on a leash wait for her toys (she loves toys and playing!!) and knows basic obedience commands. Like most young dogs Sammie can be exuberant and can take advantage if not given direction so a strong caring leader is required. With proper introduction she likes other dogs, is great with people and loves car rides. Because of her size and strength, homes with young children cannot be considered. Also, Sammie chases cats (and vacuums), so a cat free home is required (can’t avoid the vacuum!).

Sammie’s estimated birthdate is 11/3/2013. If you want to know more about Sammie and to speak to an Adoption Counselor, please complete an application at Must be at least 21 years of age to apply.

About Furkids Animal Rescue and Shelters

About Our Rescue Group...

Furkids/SmallDog Rescue and Humane Society, Inc. is a 501c)(3), tax-exempt organization dedicated to find loving families for homeless dogs in the Atlanta area. Every year, over 90,000 animals are killed in Georgia shelters. Our volunteers rescue many dogs from local shelters and foster them in their own homes until a suitable forever home is found. We do not shy away from taking sick or difficult dogs into our program. Thanks to donations, we are able to provide excellent medical care for all of our little orphans. Our volunteers work tirelessly on training, socializing, and giving the dogs all of the loving care that they so much deserve. Thanks to our friends and supporters, we have been able to save many lives in each of years. It is caring individuals like you who can make a difference in the lives of our wonderful orphan animals. We hope you enjoy your visit to our website, and come visit us at Petco in Sandy Springs, every Saturday from 12 noon til 4 pm. We're at the corner of Hammond Drive and Roswell Road, in the Whole Foods shopping center every Saturday.
