FINN's Story...
FINN - is a handsome Australian Shepherd and is about 10 years of age. FINN is in our PAWS BEHIND BARS prison dog training program where he has learned manners and commands towards the AKC certification. FINN is looking for stability and companionship and will do well in a quieter home with an owner who will shower him with attention. He loves to be with his people and is a velcro kind of dog! Finn's inmate says that this dog is the easiest dog he's ever had to train. Finn follows him everywhere! FINN is fully vetted, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, neutered and microchipped. If you would like to meet FINN or have questions, contact Adopt Me! Bluegrass Pet Rescue at email adoptmebpr@aol.com or call 502-777-1442

Why Adoption is a Great Option

FINN, a LaGrange Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in LaGrange, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in LaGrange.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in LaGrange already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a LaGrange breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in LaGrange paves the way for another one to be saved.
