Ginny is a very friendly, sweet, happy and playful dog! She is doing well in her foster home. She loves everyone she meets, good with both big and small dogs, and good with cats. Ginny is also good with the foster family’s son who is 8 years old. She is a good temperament dog and with some basic training, she will sure grow up to be a wonderful dog!

Ginny was living as homeless dog surviving on garbage. There are barely any food and shelter in the mountain where she was found. A kind lady who often feed the strays in the area heard her crying out of starvation. She could barely stand on her four feet as she was so weak. She didn’t have the heart to see her homeless on the road but couldn’t take her home as she lives in a tiny apartment and not financially sound. She called several rescue groups and no one was willing to take her in as they are all full and Ginny is a black dog. Through the vet’s referral, she found Ginny’s now foster mom. Ginny’s foster mom is an experienced dog rescuer and found over hundreds of dogs loving home. She knew it was urgent to take her home and promised her a good life!

Ginny is a healthy girl and had her vaccinations, rabies shot, spayed and microchip. All she needs is for a family to open their hearts to her and give her a new life! Please give Ginny a chance to live.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ginny, a Castro Valley Labrador Retriever/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in Castro Valley, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Castro Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Castro Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Castro Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Castro Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
