Remus's Story...

Remus was an overlooked dog at a high kill shelter. Full of infection, the staff believed him to be a senior. One of our co-founders decided that she could not allow this sweet soul to go out of this world unnoticed and unloved. So, Remus found his way to her home. After entropic surgery and rounds of antibiotics, Remus began to look like a new dog. Vets estimated him to be about 4 years instead of the senior that he was believed to be while beaten down physically and emotionally at the shelter. Remus loves the young boy in his foster home and gets along great with other dogs. He is slow to warm up to men and new individuals so a patient adopter is requested.  He is very much enjoying his second chance at a wonderful life! Please email us for an application to adopt!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Remus, a Cool Ridge Coonhound/Black and Tan Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Coonhound/Black and Tan Coonhound for sale in Cool Ridge, or seeking a Coonhound/Black and Tan Coonhound dog from a breeder in Cool Ridge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cool Ridge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cool Ridge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Coonhound/Black and Tan Coonhound breeders who help with Coonhound/Black and Tan Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cool Ridge paves the way for another one to be saved.
