Somethings go together so well, it's hard to even see where one begins and the other ends. And that brings us to sweet Louis and Rusty. These two go together like peas and carrots. Individually they are two of the sweetest pups you'd ever meet - together they are a duo that reminds us of all that is sweet and innocent in these rescue pups we love. Rusty and Louis are brothers from Grizwold crew of pups. They are the best of friends and, in an ideal world, we would love for them to be placed together. We know that's a stretch, but we have to do our best to find the best for our loved dogs.

They are lap dogs and world class snugglers. Rusty and Louis are being fostered in a home with kids and large breed dog and do wonderful with both. Please let us know if you are interested in adding this dynamic duo to your family. Their adoption fee is $800 and includes all their vetting - microchips, neuter surgery, deworming, heart worm preventative, health certificates and transportation from Memphis to your area.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rusty, a Chicago Chihuahua/Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
