Bryce's Story...
AVAIBLE 12-31-15 When this sweetie's owner decided that they didn't have enough time to meet his needs they turned him over to us to find him a home that could. He is now on heartworm prevention after testing negative for the disease and is all up to date on his shots. This cute boy was turned in as a Dachshund/Pomeranian mix but is slightly larger then a full grown dachshund with a little filling out to go. His thick fur is so wavy and fluffy. Bryce is playful, happy and loving. He's only 9 months old. Come on into the shelter in Elizabeth City and see if Bryce could be your new buddy today because he is all ready for his forever home - he's just waiting on you to take him there.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bryce, a Elizabeth City Dachshund/Pomeranian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Pomeranian for sale in Elizabeth City, or seeking a Dachshund/Pomeranian dog from a breeder in Elizabeth City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elizabeth City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elizabeth City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Pomeranian breeders who help with Dachshund/Pomeranian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elizabeth City paves the way for another one to be saved.
