Ruby's Story...
Meet Ruby!

Ruby was found wandering the mean streets of Lancaster and when her owners were located they said we don't want her. You can keep her. We can't imagine why. This calm, well mannered little girl deserves a loving forever home to call her own. Ruby is a gentle soul and a real joy. She is currently living with other small and large dogs and a few cats in a foster home and is good with well mannered children. Ruby is very social and loves being part of the family. She rides nice in a car and is good on a leash.

Ruby weighs about 12 lbs. and is about 2 years old.

If you are interested in meeting Ruby or any of our other rescues, please go on line at http://www.labsandfriends.org/ and complete our on line application. Thank you for making adoption your first option!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ruby, a Burbank Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Burbank, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Burbank.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Burbank already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Burbank breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Burbank paves the way for another one to be saved.
