Our Yorkie story starts out at an Animal control center in Meigs county TN, where they had gotten in about 60 puppy mill Yorkie moms approx. 3-8 year old Yorkies, 4-10 lbs., (All were neglected unsocialized and had matted hair), So we welcomed 9 new rescues into our Baker bridge rescue. These 9 rescues we received were fully-vetted, they were all altered so they will never have to have another litter or puppies. Some did need dental procedure due to bad teeth & infection, (due to the poor living conditions in the puppy mill), preventatives for fleas / ticks / heart worms, booster vaccines were given. and then placed up for adoption (which all have been re-homed),
Please join us in helping us get this last Yorkie into a home, (even though she was the first one we got) Peekaboo was hiding behind a tree and kept peeking out, hinse her name. Through this sad event in their lives was awful, make it better by saving them through adoption into your home! Peekaboo is not "Special Needs", she just needs special attention. She is very shy around people but loves other dogs (big and little), and good with cats. Best home would not have kids, she is NOT mean, just a frightened little girl and may not be good to have little hands going at her face as she may feel cornered. Someone who may have experience with these type of dogs or even had adopted one. Who could give our Peekaboo the patience, time, a kind hand and time to be held. She's not got a mean bone in her body. This little girl would make a great addition to any home that is use to a little dog with some social anxiety! Kids would be a bit much for her.
