Franklin's Story...
Franklin is a handsome male German Shepherd who is about 1 year old. He and his brother Teddy were found as strays. They love to play with other dogs and get attention from anyone who is around. They ride well in the car, are kennel trained, and walk well on leash. They are very happy in nature and confident in new situations. They still are in the goofy stages of adolescence and like all adolescents, will need continued training and guidance to grow up to be mannerly dogs. Franklin can't wait to find his new family and make 2016 his best year yet.

If you are interested in meeting Franklin, please fill out our adoption questionnaire which you can find at http://www.scgsr.org/adoption/aq/.

Franklin is Neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and comes with a collar, all included in the adoption fee.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Franklin, a Walnut Creek German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Walnut Creek, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Walnut Creek.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Walnut Creek already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Walnut Creek breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Walnut Creek paves the way for another one to be saved.
