Kishka (in CT)'s Story...
Stunning kitty Kishka was found abandoned on a Fairfield county sidewalk locked in a carrier beside another cat in a separate carrier. The veterinarian estimates she is around two years of age. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and looking for a new home. She is being fostered in Wallingford where she lives with another cat and a cat-friendly small dog. She is litter box trained and is not destructive. She is a quiet, petite cat who is very affectionate with people she knows. She is easily startled so will do well in a more tranquil environment. Stay tuned for more pictures and videos of this little girl looking for her second chance.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in East Hartford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a East Hartford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in East Hartford paves the way for another one to be saved.
