My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi i am Brutus! I am a 2 year old, 25 pound dachshund/shepard mix. I have short legs but lots of love to give ! My owner passed away suddenly and i was left in a back yard for almost a year all by myself. I had some family members that came and checked on me from time to time but it was such a sad and very lonely time for me! I was so very sad and depressed whenIi got to my foster moms house but she has turned it all around for me

I like dogs my size or larger , i get really submissive and playful with them. Smaller dogs that yap my ear off I kind of get nervous around and I try to avoid them. I am not food aggressive at all and I am doing very well being crate trained. I have never been walked on a leash before I went to my foster moms house so I am still learning that trait! I am not a runner though, I prefer to stay by your side! I take guarding my yard very seriously. I do not like strangers to approach and will definitely let you know ASAP as soon as they do.

I have only been around older children and I really liked them. Not sure about cats, I see the neighbors cats and I dont pay much attention to them. I am really a pretty laid back guy looking for a happy ending! I will need an adjustment period to get used to my new home, but I promise to be a faithful companion as long as I live!
