Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello! My name is Taz. I just turned a year old and I weigh about 50 lbs.
I was bought from someone off of a person who had posted me on a buy/sell/trade by someone else. The poster failed to mention to the person who bought me that I am DEAF!! Of course the new family didn’t know… I was scared and in a new place. The small child in the home came out with a towel on his head and that really scared me. I knocked him down. I didn’t hurt him but I scared my new family with not knowing what I was going to do. They brought me here and surrendered me so I could be evaluated. Needless to say, I passed my evaluation testing and I am now up for adoption. I am deaf so I need to be in a home that can be patient with me, give me time to adjust to my new family and surroundings as going in to a new environment is very scary, especially when you cannot hear.
I need just a few minutes to get to know new people and then I am fine and very loving! I know how to sit for a treat and I probably even know more than that.
I seem to be housebroken and I am good inside. I love sleeping in the chair or on the beds.
I get along well with the other dogs I have met since coming in to the pound. I also love all of the people I have met since I have been here and I have even done well with some older children I have met here a the pound. Maybe a home with no small children would be the best for me.
If you’re looking for a sweet dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me.
I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER JANUARY 4, 2015.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
