TINY EDDIE WILL MELT YOUR HEART!
Just like his name, Eddie runs contrary to the norm. He is a whirlpool of love and joy, circling his world with a happy curiosity and an easy going attitude on life.
His tiny little life started with some challenges, but like many rescued dogs he is embracing lifes opportunities with his whole heart and loving everything and everyone in it.
Eddie is a mighty dog, even though he weighs less than 5 pounds. He loves other dogs and plays well with his four foster siblings. He loves playing fetch, and he is a big fan of animal-shaped toys (pint-sized like him) and toys that have food hidden in them. At night he busily collects all his toys and drags them into his bed. He is crate trained and sleeps through the night (surrounded by all his toys of course!).
This bright little spirit is 1.5 years old and loves sunning himself in the backyard. He’s playful, enjoys going for short walks and loves to snuggle. Eddie is an excellent traveling companion and quietly sits in his car seat for car rides. His ears perk up when he sees other dogs on TV and he loves trying to 'talk' to them!
Eddie is a resilient pup that has conquered everything life has thrown at him without discouragement.
He was born with congenital hydrocephalus “water on the brain”, which can cause him to spin in circles sometimes, particularly when he is overly excited or somewhat nervous. He has no idea that he is different and even though he is tiny and more fragile, he has a big outlook on life.
A neurologist at VCA West has evaluated Eddie and ensures us that he will live a healthy and happy life.
Ideally we would like to see Eddie in an experienced, adult only home; considering his tiny size, and with small or medium-sized dogs. He has not been cat tested, but given his gentle nature we predict he will be OK to live with cats. No large dogs please.
Eddie is potty trained and will use pee pads as well as go outside. He has been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
