My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Carol has had a rough start at life but is now looking for a forever home that can provide the warmth and safety she so deserves. Just a few weeks before Christmas, 2-year-old Carol was abandoned in front of our facility with a note attached to her carrier. The note stated that she was pregnant and her owner could not care for the kittens. We took her in and upon examination it was discovered that Carol was not pregnant and was in fact quite sick due to an untreated, severely infected and swollen uterus. She needed emergency surgery to save her life. Sweet Carol is now healed and feeling so much better. She is a quiet but affectionate girl who just loves having her back scratched and being brushed. She is learning to be more social after having spent her life as an outdoor cat. Carol is really looking forward to a living indoors with a family who will care for her and make sure that she never ends up alone and in pain again.

ADOPTION PROCESS:
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.
All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. You can find our application online at: http://www.thepetrescuecenter.org/adopt/adoption-application.html. Completed applications can be submitted online, faxed to (949) 743-5878 or emailed to: adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org
Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, veterinary exams, and current vaccinations while in our care. This fee helps to defray the costs incurred for these and other pre-adoption expenses.
The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization whose mission is to save the lives of dogs and cats at risk of euthanasia, and is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
