Prometheus's Story...
Sure, I may not be a Greek god, but I am still a great creator of love! I am sweet yet shy, playful but insecure. Plus, just look at this mug—you don’t have to be Aphrodite to see that I am one stunning fella. I’m not ashamed to say that some extra training and socialization sure wouldn’t hurt; I wanna be as well-behaved as I am handsome! I get along great with other dogs and am very respectful of the cats. Children 10+ who are gentle and understanding are welcome in my realm. It doesn’t take much wisdom, and you don’t have to be Athena to figure out that I am the boy for you. 3 years old-18lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Prometheus, a Portland Beagle/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Beagle/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Beagle/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
