Coco's Story...
My names CoCo. I ended up in the shelter when my family lost their home. I was terrified there and wouldn’t budge from trembling in the corner. As soon as I got out of the shelter my personality came back! I am a very happy girl, I love snuggles and pets, am fine with other dogs (unless food is involved, I get a bit possessive). I am 10 years old, so I am supposed to be a senior but, I do not act like it, do not let the gray around my muzzle fool you! I would love a place to call my own, most of the day I sit on my foster moms couch and look out the window. I will follow you around because I love you and want to be by you, getting ready in the bathroom? I will sit by your side and watch you. Could you be my forever family? I would do best with older kids as I like to lean into people and might knock a little one over. I'm pretty protective of my foster mom and sometimes don't agree with male humans so I may need a calm, patient adopter with gentle males in the home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Coco, a Indianapolis Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever for sale in Indianapolis, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Indianapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Indianapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Indianapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Indianapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
