Harley Chase's Story...
Harley Chase is a 6 year old, female Shepherd/ Hound mixed breed. She weighs 47 pounds. Harley was picked up by the dog warden on Dec 14 and had a known owner, however she was not recaimed and has had to serve a long term to wait for her known owner hold to be up. She is really calm at the shelter. The dog warden has informed us that Harley was an inside dog, but when she went outside she liked to chase the neighbors, cars, and just anything. She will need an adopter who can contain her properly and give her plenty of safe outside time. Harley is finally adoptable at The Humane Society Serving Crawford County at 419-562-9149

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harley Chase, a Bucyrus Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Bucyrus, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Bucyrus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bucyrus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bucyrus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bucyrus paves the way for another one to be saved.
