My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cool cherry cream, nice apple tart I feel your taste all the time we're apart Coconut fudge really blows down those blues But you'll have to have them all pulled out After the Savoy truffle. - from 'Savoy Truffle' by The Beatles
Hmmmm could this possibly mean there is simply nothing sweeter than our very own fur baby Truffle? Truffle is a 2 year old wheat colored wire hair terrier mix (we just LOVE the wire hairs) weighing 29 lbs. Foster mom is working on getting a couple more needed pounds on him so he will be around 32lbs after some fattening up. Truffle hasn't had the greatest start to life but things sure are looking up for this precious boy. Sadly he was abandoned, neglected and carelessly tossed away like yesterdays candy wrappers. He ended up in a high kill southern shelter where his chances of a long life were somewhat grim. Fortunately his sweet personality shined through and he was pulled into rescue and placed in a loving foster home where he is learning the ropes on how to be a well cared for pampered indoor pooch. Truffle has come through all obstacles with flying colors, he just has one more hurdle to overcome. Sadly Truffle has those dreaded heartworms and is being treated. He won't be able to go o his new forever home until early January but he is well worth the wait. Truffle is already house trained and crate trained. He would prefer not to be crated (like any other wire hair terrier) but he will accept that he ha to be there sometimes, like during his heartworm treatment. Truffle had no clue what a leash was for but he is catching on and getting more comfortable with it. He would much rather run and play with his foster siblings. He is a friendly guy who gets along wonderfully with everyone big and small, 2 legs and 4. His foster mom says he is a very loving tyke who is quickly adjusting to the good life (and who wouldn't?). Truffle is already neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on preventatives. he is currently going through his month long rehab after heartworm treatment. As mentioned previously, ruffle will be ready for his new loving forever home in early January. If you tend to have a fondness for the sweeter things in life then we have the perfect lifelong sugar baby for you. Warm wet sloppy kisses are better than chocolate any day and they can be yours for many years to come with Truffle.
