Champagne's Story...
Meet Champagne! This beautiful girl is one of a kind. Her photos don’t do justice to her gorgeous Champagne colored fur. She is sweet and sassy and adventurous, always excited and happy to meet a new cat, dog or human friend. She loves everyone but people are her favorite. She meows and sings and chirps and chatters a lot. Champagne loves all kinds of affection and will come sit on your shoulder to keep you company. She likes to sleep in her cat bed and also likes to sneak in there to pounce on her cat friends.

Champagne has struggled some with congestion and needs an adopter that will help keep her healthy. Adopters are the most important part of our animal rescue process and Champagne needs a lifelong friend to watch out for her. She is doing really well right now, staying healthy, eating good quality food and taking lysine supplements. She needs someone who will work with their vet to find a solution if her congestion flares back up.

Champagne is about six months old and weighs around 7 pounds. She is litter box trained, spayed, microchipped, felv/fiv tested negative and up to date on all her vaccinations.

She is currently fostered in Huntsville, Alabama but is not picky about where she ends up as long as she is loved.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Champagne, a Knoxville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
