My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am Jesse, whose name means “gift.” I am a 7- year old male, tiger/”tabby and am a large cat who loves to eat, sleep, get brushed and combed, cuddle, play, commune with you on the couch, and get lots of attention. I have been a very attentive “nurse” by my owner’s side (or on top of her!) on the couch during times she’s been sick, giving her great comfort. As a kitten I was very well socialized with humans since I was born—I love people and getting lots of strokes and pets! When there is a group of people gathered at the house, I like to plop myself down in the middle of the group and fall asleep. Guests think I’m quite adorable.
I was found in a box in Fairport, with several other kittens, all those years ago. I was adopted by my current owner along with my brother, Teddy. We have been inside cats only. After a few years of bliss, we two males became quite competitive and began fighting over who was the alpha cat. After years of our loving owner trying many and various ways to solve the problem and to help us get along for longer stretches of time, a solution that had staying power was never found. Very sadly, it was recently decided that we were not able to live peaceably together in the same home. The decision is breaking my owner’s heart badly. But we all deserve to live in a peaceful, non-competitive environment.
I am neutered, micro-chipped, have all my shots, and have had all my routine checkups at the vet since I’ve been in my owner’s care.
My owner would like to find just the right, loving home for me. She even cried typing this bios. She loves me so much she wants me to be happy and serene.
Please help me find a great furever home. I’d love to be “king” of your home, enjoying all the loving attention you can heap on me, and I’ll give you my love right back. After all, I am Jesse, your “gift.”
