Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Seamus is a 2-year-old tricolor beagle who was found wandering the streets in Houston. He is a healthy 15-inch boy and weighs 27 lb.
Seamus is playful and energetic, and has an exuberant personality. He is athletic and can jump high, so no short fences or toddlers for him. Older children and teenagers tend to love him, because he is very interactive with the humans and a great cuddler.
Seamus enjoys walking on leash, and he is getting better at it every day. He would make a good walking or jogging partner. He would do best in an active household where he gets exercised regularly.
Seamus is housetrained and uses a doggie door. He is very smart and eager to please and has learned “watch me”, “sit” and “no”. Because he is smart and athletic, he would probably do well in agility, if someone was interested in doing that with a beagle.
Seamus gets along well with the other two beagles at home, and likes to play chase and wrestle. He also enjoys dog toys. He loves to cuddle with his foster mom to watch tv, and enjoys quiet time during the day curling up by himself on the couch. He sleeps on a doggie bed at night, although he would prefer to sleep in bed with the humans, if he were allowed.
When his family is not at home, Seamus is crated. He does not like to be crated and can be vocal when you leave, but is not destructive and keeps his crate clean and neat.
