My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATE 4/26/16
140 DAYS....and STILL patiently waiting....

Roxanne was picked up from the Salty Bryne, she has been ever so faithful to us and is the SWEETEST girl! She does great with other dogs and LOVES kids. She is the pack leader of the rescue crew, and loves being outside!

This pretty girl needs her forever! She needs to know there is better life waiting for her. Help share and get her a home!

Adoption Fee: $150 including her Spay, vaccinations, Microchip, HWtest, 3 month flea/tick prevention and ROXANNE!

She was spotted a few times on a lease road eating roadkill, and wouldn't ever come to anyone. With some coaxing and a good can of food, we caught this girl and named her Roxanne. We believe she is a beagle mix; may be a beagle/lab mix. Either way, she is as cute as can be! She weighed a measly 34 pounds when we brought her here. She was infested with tapeworms. Her first reaction to any other animal was dominance. And she had dug out twice, running as fast as she could, to anywhere away from me. She was also TERRIFIED of being confined-kenneled..bedroom..anything. She was weary of men, and has a missing piece of her ear..possibly from fly bites.

25 days of repetition, coaxing and pure love and I have a beautiful Beagle mix who will walk into her kennel by herself! No treats needed. She also is staying in the yard and does well on a leash. She is good with most dogs...we are still working on a few target points with her. She weighs 39.8 pounds now and gaining weight everyday. She still does not like to come in the house, but greets me with kisses when I come to the kennels. I'm so PROUD of Roxanne and how far she has come. She trusts most men and she is full of love.

Please contact us, if interested in fostering or adopting Roxanne. She deserves this. Thank You and God Bless.
