Perry's Story...
Meet Perry!

Sweet Perry is a shih tzu. He is a couch potato! Perry found himself at a shelter alone & scared. After being rescued & recovering from a broken jaw, Perry is ready to find love! He was just groomed, matted and stinky, he had to be shaved. Don’t worry, that beautiful hair will grow back!

Perry loves to lounge around & hang out. He is very laid back, sweet & personable. Working on house training, this boy is happy to keep to himself. Perry is seeking a quieter home, no children 12 or under please. He needs some one gentle & patient, he likes to take things slow.

Cat & dog friendly, Perry is about 5 & 1/2 years old. Weighs in at about 20 - 25lbs. He sleeps quietly in his pen, no accidents overnight. He would be perfect for a senior home, or a work from home family. He will need a better diet as he’s slightly overweight.

Located in Alamosa CO, Willing to travel up to 3 hours away for the best home. Transport is possible further to many places, I would prefer to meet his family though.
Home visit & adoption application is needed. Adoption fee is $275

Perry is available for adoption through Breeder Release Adoption Service

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Perry, a Alamosa Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Alamosa, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Alamosa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Alamosa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Alamosa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Alamosa paves the way for another one to be saved.
