Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Miss Felicia has more spunk than dogs half her age. Left to fend for herself outside, she came to You Lucky Dog Rescue weighing only 27 pounds, about half her recommended weight. In addition to being malnourished, she has a nasty heartworm infection, too. Needless to say, this girl was not feeling her best. Despite all that, she still has the wherewithal to wag her tail, follow her foster mom around everywhere, make friends with the other dogs in the house, and even play with toys. While she is getting those heartworms taken care of, she is also working on getting her girlish figure back by eating all the food she wants. The more she eats, the more spunk she shows! She is starting to get her strength back which is evident in the way she happily greets her foster mom when she gets home, the way she jumps excitedly when it is dinner time, and the mischief she is finding for herself (slipper thief!). Felicia accepts correction well but, not much is needed since she is a very low-key girl. She walks well on a leash, is quite content in her crate during the day, and does not seem reactive towards dogs or cats. All Felicia needs now is a loving forever home to call her own. She will be happy to share it with fur siblings, human siblings, and even a cat if she must! The only thing she absolutely must have is a human to love and protect her so she never has to worry about being on her own again. We would be happy to answer any questions and, even better, set up a time for you to meet her!
Felicia is a female/sp Flat Coat Retriever mix born ~ January 2006.
