My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet sweet and friendly Billy. He looks all lab to use, but we can't guarantee that since he was a stray. One thing is for sure is that he is 100% rescued.

Billy is the sweetest boy, who is friendly, loving and a total people dog. He loves his peeps and really enjoys cuddling. He is good with other dogs as he loves to play, but would do best in a home with a dog who is not dominant. He's fabulous with children, men and women. He is currently be fostered in a home with a 4 year old who he is fabulous with. His temp foster also had a couple children who he was also wonderful with. A home without cats would be best as he thinks the kitties are toys.

The vet feels Billy is 4-5 years old, about 70 pounds, and he is a very strong boy so he will need someone who can manage a strong dog for walks. He doesn't know his name (he was found as a stray in Hazard, KY), so we feel a fenced in back yard would be best. Bill loves to run, and play fetch, and he brings the ball back! He isn't fond of the crate. Billy's foster mom has been leaving him un-crated free to roam at night. He pretty much stays on the first floor as he prefers to sleep on the couch in the family room. So if you don't want a dog on your furniture...Billy may not be your man. Billy has not had any accidents other then a couple accidents right after arriving on January 9th, which is expected while he is learning the rules. Billy's new family will also have to show him the house training rules in his new home.

Billy is now neutered, his heartworm test was negative, he tested negative for all three of the tick transmitted diseases, Lyme, Ehrlichiosis, and Anaplasmosis, he is microchipping up to date with DHPP vaccination, and rabies vaccination. He has been given revolution for the prevention of fleas and heartworm, and dewormed with panacur.

Billy is currently be fostered in a home in Joliet, IL, which is where you would go to meet him with an application. All of our dogs are placed in foster homes as do not have an actual building with open hours. An adoption application is required to be submitted and approved prior to scheduling a meet and greet. Adoption applications are on-line applications, and can be completed by going to our website at www.angelsonwheels.org, and click on the "forms" tab within the website. By completing the adoption application, it does not commit you to an adoption, but gives us some information about you and your lifestyle.

The adoption fee of $250.00 helps us to recoup the costs for vetting.
