Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Panda was a stray in Los Banos, very pregnant when she landed in the Los Banos shelter. Before Dusty Paws could respond to the shelter's call for help, she delivered three pups. Only one of the three was born alive. Eventually both Panda and her pup were ready to be taken into Dusty Paws foster care. The pup, Winnie, is now on a sleepover and it is time to seek a permanent home for Panda.
Panda is adorable - about one year old, 9 lbs, and still puppyish herself. She loves to play with the other dogs in the home as well as with toys and stuffed animals. Her foster home also houses cats, birds and a rabbit. Panda wants to play with the cats. She is fine with them if they are still, but will chase them if they run. She will leave the birds and rabbit alone while they are in their cages, but will also chase them if they are out.
Panda is very good with the two children in the home, who are 8 and older. She may be fine with younger kids, but hasn't been around any yet to tell. Panda would also be a good companion for an older person who likes to sit and watch TV with a dog to cuddle. She is very snuggly and likes to sleep with you on the bed at night.
Panda is house trained and walks well on a leash. She is a smart little dog who is food motivated and will be very responsive to further training. Despite her size she makes a good guard dog and will alert you with barking when people come to the door. If they are friends and you allow them in, she calms down quickly and is sociable.
