Mia is 7 pounds of fun! She is a beautiful 2 year old, red colored Shorkie (Shih Tzu/Yorkie) who came into rescue when her owner could no longer care for her. Mia is a little love and is a joy to have around. She is very playful with other dogs, loves to walk, no matter what the weather is like, and especially likes the snow! She can jump quite high and likes to perch on the back of the sofa to look out the window. Mia loves to play with her toys or cuddle next to you on the couch. She is a true companion dog, always wanting to be with her family. She is a good eater and loves treats and chew bones when she comes in from outside. She sleeps very soundly at night curled up right next to her foster mom and one of her foster Shih Tzu sisters. Mia walks well on a leash and would like her new family to her walk her at least twice a day (but not real far in the really cold weather!). Mia needs a consistent routine so she continues to do well with her housetraining. So far she has been very good when she is let out on a regular basis. Because of her small size, Mia would do better in a home with no young children. She would be fine with another small sized companion dog or she would enjoy being the only dog as well.
Mia is healthy, spayed, current on vaccinations, microchipped and is on heartworm preventative. Her adoption fee is $370.00 plus $26.92 sales tax for a total of $396.92. Her foster mom and dad would like her adopter(s) to live in or near the Twin Cities so they can visit once in a while, and would appreciate if her new family would attend the annual Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion held in September every year.
