Here's what the humans have to say about me:
LUCKY LOU - German Shepherd mix, male, 10 years, 98 lbs. Lucky Lou is a steadfast, loyal companion who needs nothing more than a quiet daily stroll and the company of his people. He is a gentle, trusting and loving boy who is the perfect height to pet while you are relaxing on your sofa. His favorite things include bones, belly and nose rubs, ear scratches, being brushed, long naps, sleeping on your feet and just knowing you are nearby. He gets along well with other dogs and lives with cats. He is good with older children but has not been tested with younger children. Lucky Lou has a few age-related conditions to his knee/hip, and possible hearing loss. Because of these challenges, he would be better suited to a single level home, and a low fenced yard would make him very happy but is not required. He walks well on a leash, and due to possible hearing loss, he should not be off leash. Lucky Lou adapts quickly to his new surroundings and loves going with you anywhere! He is truly a gracious, sweet older gentleman with impeccable house manners. Lucky Lou will make one owner truly lucky!
** If you are interested in adopting this dog, you must first complete an adoption application at http://peppertree.org/adoptapp.php. Or visit our site (http://peppertree.org/adoptlist.php) and learn about other Peppertree dogs. *Note: visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
