Lucas's Story...
Lucas is a chinese crested powder puff mix. He is approx 3.5 yrs old and 7 lbs. He was so matted when found that it took his finder 2 hrs to clip all of the matts off of him. He is a really sweet boy and when his coat grows back he will be beautiful. He has the prettiest coloring to him. He is a happy little boy, loves running and playing with the other rescues, skips and hops.. loves his doggie bed and sleeping in a big one with a buddy. He seems to be pretty well house and leash trained and is just going to be a wonderful companion for someone. Because of his size we do not adopt to any families with children under 8 years of age.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucas, a Norwalk Chinese Crested dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chinese Crested for sale in Norwalk, or seeking a Chinese Crested dog from a breeder in Norwalk.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Norwalk already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Norwalk breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chinese Crested breeders who help with Chinese Crested rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Norwalk paves the way for another one to be saved.
