Sweet Toffee is a five-year-old beagle rescued from a particularly horrible Amish puppy mill in Pennsylvania. She lived her entire life in a dirty rabbit hutch inside a dark filthy barn three eating litter after litter of puppies to be sold and pet stores throughout the area. Her teeth were filthy, her ears were filthy and infected, and her feet were infected and swollen from standing on wire year after year. She is finally getting the medical care she deserves and feeling better already! She is timid but very quiet gentle and sweet natured and already starting to wag her tail and enjoy human attention. She will be looking for a calmer home with another friendly dog to help her adjust to life in a real home at last. Email and Njwoof@cs.com if you are interested in this special survivor

We do not have a shelter- all our pets are in foster homes and can be seen by appointment only during the week, or at our weekly pet adoptions every Sunday at the Animal Clinic of Morris Plains from 12:30 to 3PM at 3009 Route 10 East next to 5 Star Car Wash (formerly Boulder Car Wash) in Morris Plains (Denville on GPS). Local inquiries only please- we do not do long distance adoptions.
