Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ray Ray is a 40#, 10 month old male lab mix. He has beautiful black fur with a heart shaped white patch on his chest. He is potty trained, neutered, and up to date on his shots. He ADORES being with other dogs and loves chasing balls. He is also good with cats and birds.
Ray Ray was rescued from a hoarding situation in southern Indiana. He is very fearful of people, especially men. When we first brought him home, he freaked out. He paced back and forth until he found a place to hide. He would not go through a doorway if anyone was near or making strange noises. He didn't play much and acted like he never had treats before. He runs until cornered when it's time to put his leash on and then winces in fear when you attach it. He definitely has trust issues.
As fearful as he is, he can't get enough affection and petting once you start loving on other dogs!?! He loves being scratched and will even lick you as he gets used to you. He has even started approaching me and touching me to be petted. :). He loves to be brushed and enjoys a bath. He has learned what toys are and cheese is his favorite new treat. Ray Ray has started laying near our feet when it's quiet time and everything is calm.
Ray Ray needs a family who has LOTS OF LOVING PATIENCE to bring out the best in him. He has been learning to like his crate and prefers it to be covered. We highly recommend working with a dog trainer to help him adjust to his new home. He has severe trust issues, but he gets a little better every day.
