Kyra's Story...
Hi there! I'm Kyra! Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at me. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. The nice people at the HSUC got me off the adoption floor at the shelter! They couldn't understand why I was there for so long and neither could I. I'm a super sweet little girl and very grateful to be off of the hard concrete floor at the shelter. I'm around 8 months old, spayed, UTD on all my shots, micro-chipped, 25lbs, crate trained and house trained. I'm a very smart girl and easy to train. I will do anything for a treat! I learned to sit and stay and I'm very good at my come command and I'm not even jumping on people anymore! I love people and other dogs. I love to play and play with my foster brother. He's a big boy and I'm not afraid of him at all (he's a big baby)! I really love a nice spot on the couch to snuggle on and a fenced in yard to run and play in and would absolutely love a brother or sister to play with!. If you are my new parents please fill out an application for me at www.hs-uc.org. Thanks for stopping by and reading my story!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kyra, a Monroe Labrador Retriever/Whippet puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Whippet for sale in Monroe, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Whippet puppy from a breeder in Monroe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Monroe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Monroe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Whippet breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Whippet rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Monroe paves the way for another one to be saved.
