Piper's Story...
My name is Piper and I am told I'm as sweet as candy. I am about 1 year old and believed to be a Dachshund/ Shepherd mix. I am loving life now that I am in warm loving home with foster siblings (2 dogs). I like all people, dogs, and children, I have so much fun playing with them. I even talk to them when I want their attention-my foster mom says I make her laugh with all my noises and silliness.. I love to snuggle on the couch. I know how to sit, wait and leaving things alone. I love all kinds of toys, chewing on bones and stealing them away from my big foster brother. I am vetted and I am housebroke and crate trained. I am looking for a family that will love me and allow me to snuggle and give tons of kisses!! Will you be my forever family???

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Piper, a Romeoville Mountain Cur/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mountain Cur/Dachshund for sale in Romeoville, or seeking a Mountain Cur/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Romeoville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Romeoville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Romeoville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mountain Cur/Dachshund breeders who help with Mountain Cur/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Romeoville paves the way for another one to be saved.
