Arwen-VA's Story...
Arwen is a 5 year old female Boerboel. She was transferred to us from FCAS in Georgia. She is currently on medical hold and her initial intake hold. She was already beginning to shut down at the shelter so we are going really slowly with her. As you can tell in her shelter photos, she was very stressed, her pupils are almost pinpointed. We have her on in-home quarantine since she was pulled from a high intake shelter. We will update her status as we learn more about her. She is currently in foster care in Charlottsville, VA.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Arwen-VA, a Virginia Beach Bullmastiff dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bullmastiff for sale in Virginia Beach, or seeking a Bullmastiff dog from a breeder in Virginia Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Virginia Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Virginia Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bullmastiff breeders who help with Bullmastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Virginia Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
