Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Buttons came in as a stray to the Northcentral LA City Shelter on 1/7 and was adopted the first day he became available on 1/13. The adopter was a father with a 4 year old daughter. They named him Brutus. Then on 1/16 he was returned to the shelter after a bit incident and is now in a 10 day quarantine hold. After having done rescue for 28 years, I am of the impression that the parents did not supervise the young child who may have unintentionally did something inappropriate which resulted in a bit. He will be available to rescue only on 1/27 and my rescue is hopeful that he came come into our rescue. He came into the shelter 'shaved down and neutered'. We don't know why his original owner didn't reclaim him. He weighs 10 lbs. and would be a good match for a dog savvy adult home that has no young children or visiting grandchildren. We have changed his name from Brutus to Buttons. Contact our rescue if you would like to foster Buttons with option to adopt or are interested in adopting him after we evaluate him. We cannot put hands on him now as he is in quarantine. He was calm and comfortable at the shelter so again we thing it was unsupervised, inappropriate handling or teasing that may have generated a bit incident. Adoption process, completion of a pre adopt ap, hmck, contract and adoption donation of $200.
