My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You will always have a lucky star That shines because of what you are Even in the deepest dark Because your aim is true And if I could only have one wish Darling, then I would be this Love and happiness for you -from 'Love And Happiness' by Emmylou Harris
Our sweet Emmy definitely has a lucky star and both shine brilliantly.....Emmy and the lucky star. That lucky star of hers saved her from the fate of a southern high kill shelter and landed her right smack dab in the middle of a loving foster home where she has learned to be an awesome pup. Emmy is a 5 month old old black and white lab mix weighing 35 lbs. Our best guess is she will be around 50 lbs when full grown. According to her foster dad she sees herself as a lap dog, perhaps she was a Chihuahua in a former doggie life. In any case think you would be hard put to find an affectionate more personable girl than our Emmy. This precious gal is already house and crate trained. She has really nice house manners and even does her part to help clean up. Foster dad said something about being a vacuum cleaner and left over crumbs...hmmm. Yep that can really come in handy! Emmy is wonderful with people of all sizes and ages, other dogs, and cats as well. She is said to be a smart young lady and is quick to sit and shake for treats. She does have a tendency to jump when excited and happy but her foster dad has been working on this with her. She thinks belly rubs are over the moon and will give little kisses in kind. Emmy is already spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, and current on preventatives. Our aim is indeed true for this adorable girl. We want nothing but all the love and happiness in the world for Emmy. If you are thinking you may indeed be the one to fill the role of loving forever home and family then give us a shout because we want to hear from you!
