Maui is a handsome boy with the most spectacular colouring and tabby patterns. He has the sweetest nose and most brilliant eyes.
This precious guy was rescued from a hoarding situation in Brantford last December. Once removed from the only home he has ever known it was evident that Maui had no idea what it was like to be loved, petted or cared for. This special cat was placed into a foster home with teenage children, a silly yellow lab and a handful of kitties. Maui found his comfort in the other cats and the dog. Over time, he carefully watched the other pets interact with the people and learned his foster family were kind and could be trusted.
New Years day was a magical turning point for Maui and his foster family, this cutie decided he would join his feline friends in the kitchen for treat time, and there was no turning back. Maui is now part of the family, playing, rough housing, and cuddling.
This sweet boy gets excited to see the food dishes filling up, loves fresh water in his bowl and help his foster mama clean the litter - all simple things he never got to experience before his rescue. Maui loves tummy rubs and gives the sweetest kisses.
This gorgeous boy will be his best cat in a quiet, laid back home with other easy going gentle cats. Maui is not a fan of being picked up, he is much happier running to you on his own four little paws.
Maui's foster mom shares: "Sweet boy we have come a long way, I am so proud of you and how brave have been. You deserve a lifetime of happiness and unconditional love. Thank you for allowing us to share in your beautiful rescue journey.". Because of Maui's difficult past he will need to be adopted into a patient and loving home that will continue to help him learn trust and confidence.
