My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Harriet is a darling 1 year old Chihuahua mix. She is tan/white and weighs 9 lbs. She was an owner surrender with four other dogs and we don’t know what her story was before she came to us. We do know that her previous home left her scared and shaky when she first came to us. (Four other dogs in the house can do that to you!). She started to settle down and warm up after only a few days.

She has now blossomed and is confident and well adjusted and she now enjoys meeting other dogs and new people on her walks. Her energy is so gentle and submissive. She is cmpletely housetrained, is not a barker and is not fearful or aggressive at all. She sleeps quietly in her crate at night and has no signs of separation anxiety when left alone. She is very playful and starting to take an interest in toys. Harriet gets along fine with other dogs in the home and is also perfectly fine with cats. She loves to chew so she always needs appropriate chewies on hand.

It’s possible that one of the other dogs which was surrendered, Cappuccino, is her mom. Harriet has adjusted wonderfully well and will make a wonderful companion. As she has not yet been kid-tested we recommend no small kids for Harriet at the moment.
