Travis's Story...
***LOCATED IN ARKANSAS*****
This sweet boy is Travis. He was rescued by a kind person that saw him laying in a ditch in water when he was only about 6-7 weeks old. They took him to a local shelter where he was found to have Demodex mange, covered in sores and very malnourished. They started treating him immediately and I pulled him from the shelter on 1-9-16 and he was then about 10 weeks old and his coat was looking so much better. They had treated him with Nexgard and medicinal baths. He continues to look more and more like a healthy puppy. He looks to be Border Collie mix- possibly mixed with lab.Travis currently weighs about 16 pounds so I estimate that he is going to be medium to large when grown! He is a wonderful puppy and would make an excellent addition to any family situation - he is just a regular normal puppy that still needs to learn manners!. He is located in Arkansas and will not be transported up to the Northeast until he is adopted. His adoption fee is $250 and the transport fee is $140. So a total of $390. If you would like more info on this handsome boy-please email me, Sandy at vshutchins@gmail.com and thank you for considering one of my rescues!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Travis, a Hagerstown Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Border Collie/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Border Collie/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
