Daisy's Story...
Daisy, approximately 3 years of age and a GORGEOUS marble tabby, was rescued from a high-volume shelter and entered IDR+’s program on 12/26/14. The shelter staff absolutely loved her. She has now settled into a foster home with us and is loving life! Daisy especially loves drinking water fresh from the tap so much that she jumps up to the bathroom sink in the a.m. and meows for the water to be turned on. Once her bowl is freshly filled, she drinks away. She also loves to chase after her toys with her favorite toys being foil balls and bottle caps. She is also good with older children. Once comfortable she will stay within arms reach, and when she wants special attention she will go to a lap or a chest for extra loving. She becomes most comfortable with people that she can share quiet moments “vegging out” or resting on a lap with a hand scratching her ears. And, while Daisy is a wonderfully calm cat, she does prefer to be the only cat. Her adoption fee is $70 and includes the following: vet exam, FIV/FeLV test, spay, vaccinations, fecal test, checked for fleas and ear mites and microchipped with FREE registration included. Please email for more information. [Daisy is fostered in BUFFALO GROVE.]

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daisy, a Barrington Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Barrington, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Barrington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Barrington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Barrington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Barrington paves the way for another one to be saved.
