Rex's Story...

Rex is a world class snuggler - he loves to cuddle up on your lap and won't leave when you re-adjust - he'll just lay there, dead to the world! If you stop petting him before he wants you to, he won't hesitate to tap your hand with his paw, drawing your attention back to where (he thinks) it should be. Although he could cuddle and sleep all day, he still has a TON of energy when you take him out, so walk are crucial. Rex is a very friendly boy, and has fit right into his foster home consisting of three adults, two small dogs and a surly cat. He is a little reactive around bigger dogs, especially when he is on a leash, but when he can smell them on his own terms he is very happy to make new friends. Rex sleeps in a crate at night, and comes with a dog hoodie to keep his skinny body warm -  but he'd prefer to just take all your body heat! His personality can best be described as loving, and he would be the most loyal and warm addition to the right home. His foster family will miss him! Rex has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $350. If you are interested in adopting Rex, please fill out an adoption application which can be found at www.animalrescueandoutreach.com/adoption-application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rex, a Edmonton Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher for sale in Edmonton, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Edmonton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edmonton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edmonton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edmonton paves the way for another one to be saved.
