Smiley's Story...
Check out this playful cutie pie!!! Smiley about 3 years old and weighs 40lbs, she's an Australian cattle dog mix. She is super dog-friendly and loves to wrestle and play with other dogs. She is crate trained, house trained, good with kids that are big enough she can't knock over. Smiley is a very active girl, so she needs a good yard or active family. This sweet natured pup just loves, loves everyone she meets, but she has yet to meet a cat.
Not only is she playful and friendly Smiley is a smart girl that knows sit, and is very treat and food motivated. Smiley walks well on a leash, rides well in the car and comes when called. She doesn't like sharing bones or food with other pups though so I wouldn't recommend free feeding at first.
She has been spayed, she's current on shots and preventions, and had no health issues.

We do vet check and home visits on our adopters. Adoption fee is $385 and all dogs are neutered/spayed and up to date on shots. Please contact us if you would like to fill out an application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Smiley, a West Hartford Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in West Hartford, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in West Hartford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Hartford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Hartford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Hartford paves the way for another one to be saved.
