Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This cocker boy needs to be the only dog in an adult only home with a fenced yard.
My name is Pfeffer now, but I used to be called Bryce. I am a neutered 4 year old, black n sable cocker a poo. I am a cockapoo, but I am actually the size and body structure of a cocker. In April of 2014, I came to this rescue from a NC shelter isolation holding area, because I had knocked down a child that was running towards me when I got away from my owner. I got lucky when rescue help stepped in and I spent a few months in the care of these nice CCR folks. I got my 2nd chance and found myself adopted to a great home with a nice guy and his wife. They treated me well and I was happy to share a great life with them. They had a baby last August and learned that I am not good with children, plus I have issues with toys and food around other pets. Sadly my wonderful family had to return me to CCR to find a new home. I got lucky again, as it wasn't very long until some nice folks met me, decided to adopt me and were willing to work with me on the issues I needed help with. They wanted me, adopted me and have gone the extra mile to help me have the life I deserve. They already had another dog too, and just recently found out that I will do best with a family as an only dog so that there are no issues over toys and food.
I am a nice boy, healthy, heartworm negative, house trained and up to date on shots and vet care. I am an active, busy guy and I enjoy attention, walks and spending quality time with you. I am a fun doggie to spend time with and love as a wonderful companion and best pal. I seem to favor women, but after I meet men, I am ok and will bond quickly. I will need to be placed into an adult only home with no children. I will need someone willing to keep me in a more sheltered type of home life......which will keep me from having issues with my problem areas. I am an active boy, so I can move quickly. When I have been around children I don't know it makes me anxious and unsure, so a home without children is best for me. I do well at the groomer.
You will be required to fill out an adoption application as stated below to be approved and provide a vet reference.
