Facts about Chevy

  • Breed: American Bulldog Mix
  • Color: White - With Red, Golden, Orange Or Chestnut
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Chevy was pulled from Sebring when he was on the table being prepped for euthanasia. He was heartworm positive and has been through treatment. Two years old now, he lives with dogs of other sizes, and gets along well with all of them. His previous foster mom says he is the nicest boy she's ever met. He was around her small grandchildren and her cats while he lived there. She said he was more interested in what was in the cats bowl than in the cats. Chevy is very playful and likes to bark when excited. Once the initial play is over he settles down nicely and goes exploring. He is a lap baby and wants to sleep next to you at night

About Tank's Legacy

About Our Rescue Group...

All of our fosters are animal lovers that want to save as many lives as possible, but our ultimate goal is to make sure that the ones we save have a wonderful life. It's very important to us to make sure everyone is happy.

Tank's Legacy was started in honor of a rescue dog named Tank. His story is on our website.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our first adoption event is Oct 24th, 2015 at the Cultural Center in Port Charlotte.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption fee varies based on the age of the dog. Puppies to 1 year are $300. 1+ to 7 years old is $275. 7+ is $250. These fees help cover the extensive vetting these dogs usually require and help us save special cases like Scooter. Please visit our website or email for more information.
You must complete an adoption application. Once your application is reviewed and references checked, including vet, you will be called to set up a home visit. If you are approved, then a meet and greet will be scheduled. If that goes well, then you can have your new furry baby!
We will do a two week follow up visit as well to see how you are all adjusting.

None of our fosters will be kept outside, especially on a chain. These are family members. If you cannot keep them inside with you, then please look elsewhere.
